Joseph Gordon-Levitt Talks About his Stunt Doubles on ‘Premium Rush’ and Getting Injured During the Shoot

While I like Joseph Gordon-Levitt and really like Michael Shannon and films set in New York City, I’m not sure how much I’m going to get into Premium Rush, a movie featuring Gordon-Levitt as a bike courier in New York. But I’m sure the film will be filled with a lot of great action sequences that we haven’t seen before since there aren’t many action bike movies, although I’d love to see a flying bike tackle take-down like on USA’s old Pacific Blue series.

Frank Langella on Acting Against a Robot: “It wasn’t difficult… I have acted opposite actors, who, no matter what you do, do not change a flicker of their performance”

Frank Langella is one of those veteran actors who I would love to share a few drinks with (I’d even pay the tab!) He seems to be so full of great stories about his long career in theater and film. He also stars in one of my favorite films of 2012, Robot & Frank, which he talks about Reuters. He opens up about the importance of working from a good script, acting against a robot, and whether or not the Hollywood of his youth has changed.

California Senate to Vote on Bill to Protect Child Actors From Abuse

Stories of child actors being abused physically and sexually during their careers are unfortunately too common. Even more shocking is the amount of managers, publicists, production assistants, and other behind-the-scenes individuals who inappropriately interact with children as a direct result of being left with them unsupervised. But a bill making its way though the California legislature will lay out precautions to prevent such crimes from happening again.

Shia LaBeouf Rips Big Budget Movies

LaBeouf starred in the three Transformers movies, but he will not be in the planned fourth film in the franchise. That doesn’t seem to bother him much, as he says, “There’s no room for being a visionary in the studio system. It literally cannot exist.”

Terry Crews on His Acting Success: “I think with me not being from Julliard and that kind of classically trained actor, I had no expectations. There was nothing to lose, so I could try everything”

How exactly did Terry Crews go from being a linebacker in the NFL to being a successful actor? While professional athletes have had a long history of appearing in films — probably even earlier than when Babe Ruth appeared in 1920’s Heading Home — very few have managed to turn acting into a second full-time job. Crews, however, has become a TV star in shows like Everybody Hates Chris, Are We There Yet? and The Newsroom and in movies like The Expendables and its sequel.

Kelsey Grammer on Why He Loves His ‘Boss’ Character and How He Takes Criticism

Sure, we all saw Kelsey Grammer play Dr. Frasier Crane for about a hundred years, but deep down inside we all knew that with that scowl and deep timbre of voice that he would make a fantastic villain. I mean, the minds behind The Simpsons were obviously on to something with Sideshow Bob, right? So Grammer was the perfect fit to play the corrupt Chicago Mayor Tom Kane in Boss, which will soon begin its second season.

Alfred Molina on Characters with Contradictions and ‘Disappearing’ into a Role

Alfred Molina stars in Red at the Mark Taper Forum through September 9, a role that he originated in London and again later in a Tony Award-winning production on Broadway. Like the previous productions Molina stars as Mark Rothko, the eccentric real-life artist who was commissioned to paint works for New York’s Four Seasons restaurant and felt conflicted about taking such a commercial job.

Jeremy Renner on How His Career Has Changed and His Disappointment with His Role in ‘The Avengers’

While Jeremy Renner is on an incredible role since starring in the Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker, that doesn’t mean he’s necessarily happy with everything he does on screen. In fact, in an interview he actually reveals that he’s disappointed with his role in The Avengers as the bowman Hawkeye. He also talks about how his career has changed from small indie movies to a big budget action star.

‘One Man, Two Guvnors’ James Corden on Acting Roles: “They will come and they will go as quickly as they arrive, so it’s important to make the most of it”

One Man, Two Guv’nors, the play starring Tony Award winner James Corden, is closing after the departure of Corden, who is so integral to the show that producers would have a tough time carrying on without him. Though a star in his native England, One Man, Two Guv’nors has exposed him to American audiences, many whom might be wondering where they’ll see Corden next.

Jeremy Renner on Making It: “I worried that, if I was slinging lattes, it would take away from all the time it took for me to work on my own journey”

If nothing else, Jeremy Renner has ensured his future job security by becoming the ultimate franchise player: not only is Renner taking over the Jason Bourne franchise in The Bourne Legacy, Renner also is also now a key piece of the Mission: Impossible and The Avengers franchises. Renner has since become a familiar face in action films, something he wasn’t known for when he became famous from his role in The Hurt Locker.
