Happy birthday, Willem Dafoe! The three-time Oscar nominee — most recently for his role as a hotel manager in the heartbreaking The Florida Project — turned 63 years old last week.

Late last year Dafoe sat with Scott Mantz of Access Hollywood for a SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversation about his performance in The Florida Project, which resulted in his first Oscar nomination since 2000’s Shadow of the Vampire. Dafoe spoke about working on the unique film, in which he was the only professional actor in a major role and working with the fresh-faced cast.
