Actor Stephen McKinsley Henderson has followed up his Tony-nominated role opposite Denzel Washington in the 2010 production of August Wilson’s Fences and long-running recurring role as judge on Law & Order with recent appearances in episodes of The Newsroom and a role in the highest profile film of his career, Steven Spielberg’s Lincoln.
It’s odd to see Daniel Day-Lewis so chatty during awards season to promote Lincoln because he isn’t known for doing many interviews in his career. But Day-Lewis has also been participating in various revealing Q&A sessions, including the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to receive the festival’s Montecito Award for his career achievements.

In 2012 alone he appeared on film in Argo, Ruby Sparks, The Giant Mechanical Man and Celeste & Jesse Forever and on television in regular roles in The Mindy Project, The Newsroom and Damages. He also stars in Fairhaven, an indie film he also co-wrote and executive produced, which is now in limited release.
Though Ethan Hawke could have had a solid career by coasting on his fame from starring in films like Reality Bites in the 1990s, Hawke is making a return to the familiar New York stage in an extremely intimate setting. He stars as a troubled rock star in Clive, which he also directed, at the Acorn Theater.
Exactly how much influence the media has on the public has always been a significant question, and in particular the connection between real-life gun violence and violent movies has been on a lot of people’s minds lately.
