Watch: SAG Conversations with James Marsden of ‘Dead to Me’

James Marsden talks about his performance in Dead to Me and what it's like to be playing two brothers on the same television series.

Happy birthday, James Marsden! The X-Men and Enchanted star turns 47 years old today.

Though Marsden made his name as a film star, in recent years he has earned the biggest acclaim in his career for his performance on television in Westworld, Mrs. America, and, most notably, Netflix’s Dead to Me. In fact, in Dead to Me Marsden portrays two characters — Steve Wood, who is the ex-fiancé of Linda Cardellini‘s character Judy, and Ben Wood, Steve’s nearly-identical twin brother who becomes Judy’s new love interest. If you’d think playing two different characters with the same woman as a love interest is a challenge, well, you’re right!

A few weeks ago, Marsden was featured in an edition of SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations at Home moderated by Jenelle Riley of Variety to talk about his performance in Dead to Me and what it’s like to be playing two brothers on the same television series.
