Not many actors can still claim to have a career after starring in two failed television series. But Megan Hilty, who starred in NBC’s Smash (canceled after two seasons) and Sean Saves the World (canceled midway through its first season), isn’t just still working, she’s actually talking about her experiences

In the end, Smash is, at best, an imperfect television series. It took an interesting industry — the behind-the-scenes creation of Broadway productions — and incredibly talented singers, like Megan Hilty, yet somehow failed to make it interesting to general audiences or even Broadway diehards.
It’s an interesting question because much of the cast and crew behind the inconsistent first season — including creator Theresa Rebeck — have not returned for the show’s second season.
