CURRENTLY CASTING:
[MIKA] FEMALE, 19 years old. Uniquely beautiful. ANY ETHNICITY with an AUSTRALIAN (or other INTERNATIONAL) accent**. Mika is a studious, independent and somewhat self-deprecating college sophomore studying in Austin on exchange from Australia. She’s a science major, but not a geek, loves being outside in nature, not one to follow trends. Important that actor can do broad physical comedy while staying grounded and emotionally honest. Must be able to drive…LEAD. (Role pays $400 per 12-hour shoot day +
travel/accommodations in Austin). We can travel this role from anywhere within the US, but actors need to be US Citizens or have a current 01 Visa for Acting. **Australian Accent is our preference, but we are OPEN to OTHER INTERNATIONAL accents: British, African, Asian, Middle Eastern, South-East Asian, New Zealand, South African, Latin, European, etc.
[DONNY] MALE, 20 years old. Attractive. ANY ETHNICITY with an AUSTRALIAN (or other INTERNATIONAL) accent**. Donny is Mika’s Australian boyfriend – a bit of a larrikin from Sydney’s Northern Beaches. A surfer and sportsman with a penchant for stirring up a little trouble, Donny has a charm that easily gets him out of it. Important that actor can do broad physical comedy while staying grounded and emotionally honest…SUPPORTING. [TOM] MALE, 21 years old. ANY ETHNICITY. Tom is Mika’s American born cousin and housemate, and they’re joined at the hip! Tom is a loquacious socialite who loves being out and about – he knows everyone, and knows how to swindle and sweet talk his way into any party. But Tom is perceptive, and can see past his friends calamities to unearth what they really need. He finds romance with a new guy. Important that actor can do broad physical comedy while staying grounded and emotionally honest, and must be okay with LGBTQ storyline… SUPPORTING. (Prefer to cast locally in Austin, TX, but open to traveling in the right actor. Role pays $300 per 12- hour shoot day).
[BIRDIE] FEMALE, 19 – 20 years old. ANY ETHNICITY. Birdie is a music intern and self-professed weirdo. Outgoing and knows what she wants. She can draw the line when she needs to, but always up for a good time. Birdie knows the local music scene well, and her encyclopedic knowledge of music keeps her booked and busy as an up-and-coming journalist…SUPPORTING. (Prefer to cast locally in Austin, TX, but open to traveling in the right actor. Role pays $300 per 12-hour shoot day).
[VICTORIA] FEMALE, 24 – 25 years old. ANY ETHNICITY. Victoria is Mika’s science class TA. She is poised and cool, someone that Mika looks up to in a big way. Victoria encourages Mika to stay in Austin…FEATURED ROLE. (Role is an AUSTIN, TEXAS LOCAL HIRE ONLY and pays $250 per 12-hour shoot day).
[BOUNCER] MALE, 25 – 30 years old. ANY ETHNICITY. Cool and jacked, a clean haircut and a steely smile…FEATURED ROLE. (Role is an AUSTIN, TEXAS LOCAL HIRE ONLY and pays $250 per 12-hour shoot day).

ABOUT THE SERIES
We spend our whole lives searching for “the one,” but what if we find them long before we’re ready to make a serious commitment? Two Sides explores what happens when young love gets tested by distance and changing circumstances. The series will have dual protagonists, instead of taking sides, and thus have
our audience torn over who to root for since both sides of the story will be equally valid. We want the audience to go through the same rollercoaster of emotions as these characters, which will have viewers vehemently defending different characters. To this end, episodes will weave between split screen and follow
the lead characters storylines simultaneously when they’re apart.
