Watch: John Belushi’s Screen Test For ‘Saturday Night Live’

The fortieth season of Saturday Night Live premieres this Saturday with guest host Chris Pratt. The show is expected to celebrate its four-decade history throughout the season, but what better way to start that by checking out original cast member John Belushi‘s screen test for the series?

In the video, Belushi riffs on the nature of live television, does a great Marlon Brando impersonation. He would later bring this manic energy to the sketch comedy series over its first four seasons and was a big reason why Saturday Night Live became  must-see television in its early years.
