WATCH: Conversations with the Stars of ‘Straight Outta Compton’

While many thought Straight Outta Compton, the biopic about the influential rap group N.W.A., would do better with Oscar nominations, being nominated for Best Original Screenplay is nothing to shrug at.

Still, the ensemble cast of Straight Outta Compton, which is being released on DVD and Blu-ray today, including O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins, definitely brought something new to the table with their performances in the film. Those three stars, along with Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray, sat for a Screen Actors Guild conversation with Scott Mantz of Access Hollywood to talk about the film, the influence of N.W.A., and being new stars in Hollywood.
