Watch: SAG Conversations with Richard E. Grant

Happy birthday, Richard E. Grant! The Academy Award-nominated actor turns 63 years old today.

Grant will likely always be best known for his star-making performance in the 1987 classic film Withnail & I, but he has had also appeared in a number of acclaimed films over the past few decades including 2018’s Can You Ever Forgive Me?, for which he received an Oscar nomination. In addition, he has appeared in acclaimed films like Gosford Park and The Player as well as blockbusters like Logan and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

In January 2019, Grant participated in a SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversation focusing on his long acting career. Naturally, moderator Mara Webster, SAG AFTRA Foundation Program Manager, focuses on his work in Withnail & I and his Oscar-nominated performance in Can You Ever Forgive Me?, but the conversation also touches upon Grant’s other notable roles.

Watch the entire conversation (and Grant’s very stylish scarf) in the above video!
