HENRY CAVILL gained international stardom for his dual role as Clark Kent and Superman in Warner Bros.’ MAN OF STEEL. The film was a box office success, grossing more than $668 million worldwide, and stamped its place in history as the highest-grossing standalone Superman film to date. Most recently, Cavill led the Netflix drama series, THE WITCHER, based on the fantasy saga of the same name by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The first season, anchored by Henry’s performance as Geralt of Rivia, was Netflix’s #1 most watched premiere series of all time (76 million households).

Ahead of its debut, the series was renewed for a second season and will begin production in summer 2020.

Next up, he will star in Legendary’s ENOLA HOLMES, opposite Millie Bobby Brown and Helena Bonham Carter. Based on the Nancy Springer book series “The Enola Holmes Mysteries,” Cavill will take on the iconic role of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. The film follows Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes’ much younger sister, Enola.

Cavill starred as August Walker in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT opposite Tom Cruise. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the film was released by Paramount Pictures on July 27, 2018 to critical acclaim. It went on to make $791 million at the global box office, making it the highest-grossing installment in the blockbuster franchise.

He made his feature film debut in the Kevin Reynold-directed THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO. Cavill’s additional credits include David Raymond’s psychological thriller NOMIS, the Golden Globe-nominated Showtime series THE TUDORS, Woody Allen’s romantic comedy WHATEVER WORKS, Guy Ritchie’s THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E., and the action film IMMORTALS, for director Tarsem Singh.

Cavill launched his own production company, Promethean Productions, which focuses on developing original storytelling in film, TV and live events with a charitable component.

Born in the Channel Islands, Cavill is deeply involved in philanthropic activities. He is the Ambassador for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, a conservation organization that seeks to save species from extinction. He also works closely with The Royal Marines Charity (RMC), a charity that raises money to provide a better quality of life to both serving and retired Royal Marines and their families.

He currently resides in London.
