Happy birthday, Jake Gyllenhaal! The Nightcrawler star turns 38 years old today.

Late last year, Gyllenhaal sat with Bruce Fretts of Closer Weekly for a half-hour conversation for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation to discuss his film Stronger, based on the true story of Jeff Bauman, a man who lost both of his legs in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. Gyllenhaal discusses what inspired him to the role and discusses the challenges of playing a double amputee.
