I’ve been particularly impressed by William H. Macy’s performance as Frank Gallagher on Showtime’s Shameless, mostly because it’s so much different from roles Macy usually plays.
Emmy Rossum admits that she wishes her show, Showtime’s Shameless, would get the same attention the network’s other hit, Homeland, gets. “They are a strong drama. We were entered [in the Emmys] as a drama, because we’re an hour long,” she said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.

Every year, GLAAD releases it’s “Where We Are on TV” list, as a check-up of how networks are doing with regards to the amount of LBGT characters they have on scripted shows. Though the percentages may seem minor, there has been a drop in gay and bisexual characters, down 3.9% for the 2011-2012 season, in comparison to 2 seasons ago.
