Happy birthday, Laurie Metcalf! The Rosanne and Lady Bird star turns 63 years old today. The actress has had an incredible run of success in animation (Toy Story), on stage Chicago and New York theater (five Tony Award nominations with one win), television (three Emmy Awards), and film (Oscar nomination for Lady Bird).

It’s not a surprise that Metcalf has a lot to talk about considering her experience. That’s what makes this career retrospective interview, presented by SAG-AFTRA Foundation and moderated by Jenelle Riley of Variety, so fascinating. In this nearly hour-long interview, Metcalf talks about her long career as an actress and reflects on the recent success that has come her way since her Oscar-nominated role in Lady Bird.
