Watch: SAG Conversations with Lesley Manville

Happy birthday, ! The English-born actress turns 64 years old today.

Manville received an Academy Award nomination for her powerful role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2017 film Phantom Thread, which was just one of many roles that you may recognize Manville from. On screen she has appeared in Secrets & Lies (1996), Another Year (2010), Mr. Turner (2014), Maleficient (2014), and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019), as well as on stage in productions of As You Like It, Miss Julie, Six Degrees of Separation, and Long Day’s Journey into Night.

In February, Manville sat for a career-spanning Conversations for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation moderated by SAG-AFTRA’s Mara Webster. Manville details her vast experience on both stage and screen as a powerful performer.
