Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Audition

Since the first Spider-Man film in 2002, there have been three actors who have played the web-slinger on the big screen. Current Spider-Man — and a favorite of many fans — Tom Holland had to go through an extensive casting process to land the role when the character appeared in Captain America: Civil War.

In the above clip, Holland and others (including Robert Downey Jr.) discuss the extensive casting process that went into how he landed the part and shows some sequences from his self-taped auditions for the role. Even from the early footage one can see the excitement and enthusiasm that Holland brings to the role.
