WATCH: SAG Conversations With the Cast of Broadway’s ‘The Prom’

Tonight is the 73rd Annual Tony Awards in New York, and one of the musicals up for Best Musical (as well as five other Tony Awards) is The Prom, a musical about four has-been Broadway actors who visit a conservative town when two lesbian students are not allowed to attend a high school prom together in an attempt to drum up positive publicity for their careers. The hilarious musical comedy is considered one of the favorites in its categories.

In this SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversation moderated by Broadway World’s Richard Ridge, a number of the creative principals — Matthew Sklar (Music), Chad Beguelin (Book & Lyrics), Bob Martin (Book) — and members of the cast: Brooks Ashmanskas, Beth Leavel, Christopher Sieber, and Angie Schworer — talk about the critic-favorite musical.
