With Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Barrel being released on Blu-ray with all kinds of goodies today, it gives us yet another opportunity to reflect on the series’ star Bryan Cranston and all of the incredible advice he has offered actors in the wake of his success. In a video he filmed in 2013 for AreUaStar, Cranston speaks about what an actor has to keep in mind while he or she tries to work in such an rough business.

He also tells a story about how he tested for two other pilots the same year he did the pilot for Malcolm in the Middle, and why he was so lucky that he didn’t get cast in those other two series. It’s worth noting that Cranston’s career would have been dramatically altered if he didn’t face rejection at several points in his career. Check out the video above for the full story.
