Self-taping an audition has become an important way for actors to get work — though it’s not as easy as it sounds. Sure, while it’s a major plus an actor doesn’t have to travel to stand on line for an audition, self-taping has its challenges. A great performance can be absolutely ruined by a terrible-quality submission.

To help actors improve their self-tapes, Equity UK has released the above video filled with tips on how to make your self-tape videos look more professional. Take note of what to do and what not to do, and good luck!
