Tomorrow night, former Doctor Who star David Tennant takes the stage at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for the last time as Richard II in William Shakespeare’s titular play, part of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s presentation of “King and Country: Shakespeare’s Great Cycle of Kings” to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. The series started shortly after Tennant received acclaim for his performance in Netflix’s Jessica Jones series, based on the Marvel Comics heroine.
