The most significant character introduced in Star Wars: The Last Jedi is Rose, played by Kelly Marie Tran. Rose is a seemingly minor member of the Resistance who becomes an integral part of the plan to take down the First Order in the movie.
As one would expect, casting a character in a new Star Wars movies involves hundreds of potential actors. So what set Tran apart?
