Watch: Conversations with Michael Shannon of ’99 Homes’

Few actors receive the widespread acclaim that Michael Shannon receives with almost every role he plays. Although his extraordinary performance in 99 Homes was not nominated for an Oscar, Shannon received nominations for the role from the Screen Actors, Guild, the Golden Globes, the Broadcast Film Critics Association, the Independent Spirit Awards, and dozens of critics societies.

99 Homes is out on DVD today, but before you watch it be sure to check out this Q&A with Shannon that was done to promote the release of the film. The conversation was presented by the Screen Actors Guild Foundation and is moderated by Jenelle Riley of Variety. Shannon speaks about being cast in the film, the research he did for the role, and his rehearsal process — all answered in Shannon’s usual dry wit.
