The Cast of ‘Mad Men’ at PayleyFest 2012

The cast and creator of Mad Men got together recently at PaleyFest 2012 to discuss the show and while I wasn’t there (I was knee deep in SXSW shenanigans), I’m imagining it was awesome.

In attendance was creator Matthew Weiner, Jon Hamm, John Slattery, January Jones, Vincent Kartheiser, Jared Harris, Rich Sommer, Aaron Staton, Robert Morse, Kiernan Shipka and Jay R. Ferguson.

The Hollywood Reporter was there at the red carpet and got some pretty good pre-interviews that are below.

I also have a pretty poor quality of some of the actual panel. Turn up your speakers because the sound sucks.

Check them out below! Jon Hamm talks about being a producer on the show, how the show ends and his directorial debut. You can kind of tell he’s been doing a ton pf press from the sound of his voice too.

John Slattery on his character’s mortality, Joan and Roger and how he feels lucky to be part of the show.

January Jones say’s that she doesn’t understand Betty Draper’s actions all of the time but always feels the need to defend her.

Vincent Kartheiser on his character, how “if you do good on the set, you’ll get promoted”, and working with Alison Brie.

Robert Morse wants a love interest or better yet, an office for his character.

Kiernan Shipka talks about Sally, how she loves interviews and how she “dreams big.”
