John Carroll Lynch has worked with some of the great filmmakers of our time, including Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, Clint Eastwood, Miguel Arteta, Karyn Kusama, Requa & Ficarra, John Lee Hancock, Pablo Lorain, and the Coen Brothers (who cast him opposite Francis McDormand in 1995’s Academy Award winning film Fargo.)

On television, John has appeared as characters that are sweet, funny, terrifying, quirky, confused, serious, and moving. Highlights include two iconic roles on American Horror Story (Twisty the Clown and as Mr. Jingles.) The Walking Dead, Carnivale, Big Love, The Drew Carey Show, and most recently as the villainous lead in Craig Zobel’s One Dollar, as the comic nemesis in Perfect Harmony, and as Jonah’s earnest stepfather in the final season of Veep.

Lynch’s early career was mostly spent working in the theatre. His directorial debut
Lucky, was released in 2018 and received accolades both for the film and its star, the late Harry Dean Stanton.
