One one hand, Jeremy Renner is an action star who appeared in The Avengers and the fourth film in both the Mission: Impossible and the Bourne franchises. On the other, he’s an actor who has been nominated for two Oscars for The Hurt Locker and The Town. However, it’s often easy to guess which Jeremy Renner audiences will get in each film, and in the case of Renner’s latest film — Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters — it’s an easy guess that it will probably be the former.

While Jeremy Renner is on an incredible role since starring in the Oscar-winning The Hurt Locker, that doesn’t mean he’s necessarily happy with everything he does on screen. In fact, in an interview he actually reveals that he’s disappointed with his role in The Avengers as the bowman Hawkeye. He also talks about how his career has changed from small indie movies to a big budget action star.
If nothing else, Jeremy Renner has ensured his future job security by becoming the ultimate franchise player: not only is Renner taking over the Jason Bourne franchise in The Bourne Legacy, Renner also is also now a key piece of the Mission: Impossible and The Avengers franchises. Renner has since become a familiar face in action films, something he wasn’t known for when he became famous from his role in The Hurt Locker.
It’s being reported that Scarlett Johansson is in talks to star as Maggie the Cat, with Chris Pine or Jeremy Renner in talks to play her husband, Brick.
