In a recent interview on Good Day New York, TV and theater actor Robert Sean Leonard talked about commuting between Los Angeles and New York City for roles on Fox medical drama House and in Broadway production Born Yesterday.

As the 42-year-old Leonard said in the sit-down, he did the cross-country treks “with great difficulty.” For two months, he would rehearse for Born Yesterday for most of the week in New York, fly 3,000 miles west to shoot House on Mondays and come back to begin another hectic week. Still, Leonard appreciated the opportunity to be part of two successful projects, calling it “a wonderful problem to have.”

Plus, it couldn’t have been too hard to work with distinguished actors like House’s Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein and then share the stage with Born Yesterday co-stars Jim Belushi and Nina Arianda the next day.

Leonard had nothing but the highest praise for Arianda, who plays a ditzy blonde in Born Yesterday, which tells the story of a business magnate and his girlfriend as they navigate Washington, D.C. He said that while many actors could play his and Belushi’s roles, “you need someone pretty special” for Arianda’s part. “If you love theater and you miss Nina, you’re crazy,” Leonard commented.
