Ben Affleck: “Right now I’m a success again but I’ll be a failure again, too.”

Ben Affleck: "I think you have to still be brave enough to take risks."

Ben Affleck is refusing to allow the success of his film “The Town” to go to his head – because he is bound to be a box office failure again in the future. The actor turned director is thrilled the heist film was a hit with cinema-goers and earned  Jeremy Renner a Best Supporting Actor nod at this year’s Academy Awards.

Despite the acclaim his third moviemaking venture has received, Affleck is determined not to allow this success to go to his head  – insisting he’s aware a Hollywood career is full of ups and downs.

“Right now I’m a success again but I’ll be a failure again too, and that’s ok. I think you have to still be brave enough to take risks. Today I am enjoying the success. Being number one at the box office is pretty cool. But I’ve been round the block enough times to know it won’t last forever.”
