What Vacation?

Don't let another day go by being unhappy with the state of your business!

It’s hard to believe that the summer is coming to a close. Since childhood, we have been conditioned to get ready to “Go Back To School.” However, in our industry, the only time to truly vacation is during Thanksgiving through to the second week in January.

It has always cracked me up when my students call to see if there’s class on National Holidays. We are not in a 9 – 5 business guys. Anyone knows that once you’ve booked a plane ticket you are sure to receive a huge audition!

Think of your business as a store – the day that you don’t work your business is the day that your store is closed. You need to always be “Open For Business.” Momentum is a key ingredient to success in this industry. If you are to take a vacation, it will take a good 2 weeks to get your business back on track and working at optimum speed.

Speaking of running your business. Do you have a business to run? Since you have chosen the entertainment field, you need to develop a plan of action. This plan needs to be drawn out and worked on every day. You need to have goals and a checklist put together to achieve those goals.

If you are whining and complaining about the state of your career, whilst looking at your peers succeeding, then you are letting another day go by without a single soul buying in your store. Perhaps you should ask yourself, am I wasting my time on negative thoughts? Do I have my tools in order? Am I filling up my funnel and creating a flow of work? What is my store filled with exactly? Am I seeking guidance to help with my business?

Don’t let another day go by being unhappy with the state of your business. Do something today and the next day and the next to lead you to your goal. Be realistic about your expectations and happy with your achievements. Don’t rest on your laurels. It’s difficult to get to the top of that hill, but you can do it! I have seen it done countless times!!! Work hard and smart. Learn all you can and never stop growing. A career is built on a tremendous amount of blood, sweat and tears. Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Breakthrough to the next level and you will see incredible results in your life and in your career.

Happy Journeys To All Of You!
