Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac Discuss Their First Auditions, Rehearsing Scenes and ‘A Most Violent Year’

Jessica Chastain and Oscar Issac discuss their first-ever auditions, rehearsing for scenes, Julliard and heap compliments on each other's work.

A Most Violent Year seemed to get a bit lost in the shuffle aside the award-winning slate of late December 2014 and was shut out of Oscar nominations. However, much of that has to do with the film’s slow roll-out — it wasn’t until mid-January that the film expanded outside of Los Angeles and New York and it finally went into wide release on January 30. It’s a tremendously well-acted movie, especially by the leads Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac, who were actually classmates at Juilliard.

In the above video clip, the two actors discuss their first-ever auditions, rehearsing for scenes, and heap compliments on each other’s work. Check it out while you wait for A Most Violent Year to finally come out in a theater by you!
