Interview: ‘Wayward Pines’ Stars Tim Griffin and Shannyn Sossamon on the Show, Their Characters and More!

FOX has a new limited series called Wayward Pines that stars Matt Dillon, Carla Gugino, Melissa Leo, Toby Jones, Terrance Howard, Juliette Lewis, Tim Griffin and Shannyn Sossamon. The show, whose pilot was directed by M. Night Shyamalan, is about a Secret Service agent (Dillon) goes to Wayward Pines, Idaho, in search of two federal agents who have gone missing. He soon finds out that he may never get out of the town alive.

It has a fantastic cast and great premise that’s got me definitely interested.

Griffin (Covert Affairs) and Sossamon (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) were at Comic-Con where they sat in on some roundtable interviews to talk about the show.

The video starts with Griffin telling a story about how he asked Shyamalan about the secrets of Wayward Pines. Shyamalan told him and Griffin said it was great because he could then internalize that in his performance.

More highlights:

  • They talk about their characters and why they were excited to do their roles.
  • They tell us that their characters are both on the outside of Wayward Pines at the start of the series.
  • Did they read the books that the series was based on?
  • They talk about how every actor has a different working process and how exciting it was to work with actors like Melissa Leo and Toby Jones.

Wayward Pines is coming soon to FOX.
