Interview: Hayley Atwell Talks Marvel’s Upcoming Series, ‘Agent Carter’ (video)

Marvel’s Agent Peggy Carter is alive and well and soon to be on ABC in her own series. I, for one, am looking forward to this. Atwell is really fun in the role… plus, a show set in the 40’s? I’m there.

The series chronicles Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) life after Captain America is feared dead and how S.H.I.E.L.D came into existence.

At Comic-Con, Atwell and series Executive Producer Louis D’Esposito, sat in on some roundtable interviews to talk about the upcoming show.

Atwell said that it was a challenge to play the character again and that she was enjoying filling in the gaps from the first film and Captain America: Winter Soldier.

On getting initially getting the role, she said, “I was so lucky to get Captain America. It was such a big turning point in my career and my personal life. It changed my life.”

Some more highlights:

  • Does she get to do a lot of action in the show?
  • How does she like the 40’s era costumes?

Marvel’s Agent Carter is set to premiere next January.
