Maura Tierney and Courtney B. Vance join Tom Hanks in Nora Ephron’s ‘Lucky Guy’

Lucky Guy, the new Nora Ephron play that will star Tom Hanks, has just added Emmy Award® nominee Maura Tierney and two-time Tony Award® nominee Courtney B. Vance to the already great cast.

The play is about the scandal- and graffiti-ridden New York of the 1980s, as told through the story of the charismatic and controversial tabloid columnist Mike McAlary (Hanks). 

Tierney will be making her Broadway debut as McAlary’s wife, while Vance, who will play McAlary’s editor, will be returning to Broadway for the first time in 20 years. 

Also starring in the 13-member cast is Christopher McDonald, Peter Gerety and Hanks’ old Bosom Buddies pal Peter Scolari.

Lucky Guy will play a limited engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street), with an opening night on April 1, 2013.  Previews will begin March 1.
