Olivia Munn and Alison Pill Join Aaron’s Sorkin’s New HBO show, “More as The Story Develops”

After her show Perfect Couples was cancelled, Olivia Munn managed to score a roll on Aaron Sorkin’s highly anticipated new show on HBO tentatively called More as The Story Develops. Sorkin is coming off an Oscar win for penning The Social Network, plus great success with West Wing and cult success with Sports Night and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. He has become one of most respected screenwriters that has bridged the gap successfully between TV and Film. For Olivia Munn, or any young actor, it’s a chance of a lifetime to be working with Aaron Sorkin, especially now with the freedom that HBO will be able to give him. Munn will play the character of Sloan, a sexy financial analyst.

Another young actor getting a chance to feed off the Sorkin magic is Alison Pill, and she’ll be playing Maggie, a loyal associate producer to Jeff Daniels’s character Will. She will also experience a back and forth relationship with one of the staffers on the show within the show. Pill has been in several successful films including Milk and Woody Allen’s Midnight Paris, which just kicked off the Cannes Festival in France. She has also been nominated for a Tony Award for her role in The Lieutenant of Inishmore. Given Sorkin’s healthy obsession with plays and musicals, and his background in theater, I’m sure he liked Pill’s stage chops.

Like every Aaron Sorkin fan, I’m really excited for this new show and I’m glad to hear the cast growing with quality actors.
