$4 Million Lawsuit filed against “Billy Elliot The Musical”

illy Elliot The Musical at the Imperial Theatre, two Kansas City, MO women, seated in the front row, were injured by a prop flying off the stage near the end of the first act.
Elaine Rosen 54, claims she suffered a “permanent scar” to her face, while Cynthia Noblit, 60 suffered a concussion. The women have filed a $4 million lawsuit charging the show’s producers, Billy Broadway and NBC Universal with “general negligence” for “arranging a hazardous and dangerous choreography” and “failing to give any notice or warning” to the audience, according to the New York Post.
The choreography has been modified for the first act and Billy Elliot The Musical, winner of ten Tony Awards, including Best Musical, continues to play Broadway’s Imperial Theatre.
