Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Good Morning America

September 10, 2010 by

Did you see Reeve Carney, Peter Parker in the new Broadway musical Spider-Man, perform the new U2 song from the show on this morning’s Good Morning America?

If you’re on the west coast, then you probably didn’t. President Obama had a press conference that broke into the west coast version of the show.

Anyhow, thanks to the wonder of technology, here’s Reeve Carney talking a bit about the show, his costume, how he got the part of Spider-Man/Peter Parker and doing his own stunts.

In this clip, George Stephanopoulos talks with Bono and The Edge about the show, the music as Julie Taymor shows off some of the set designs. She also shows off a new villain she created for the show… the incredibly stupid-named, “Swiss Miss.”

Good  Morning America hasn’t posted the actual performance of Carney singing but someone has posted a copy of it on YouTube. It’s awful…but it’s all there is.
