Sundance is in full swing. Does anyone care?

There are a bunch of stories out there about Sundance and I have to say, I’m not really following it this year.

Is it because most of the media outlets (Entertainment Weekly, LA Times, etc) are reporting falsely that the majors can’t buy films made with SAG waivers (given during the writers strike)? I mean, everyone knows it crap and SAG has even out out 2 press releases (here and here) saying this is nonsense, but since we’re dealing with the AMPTP, its now become a twisted reality.

Is it because I no longer care to watch the “stars” walk around in their over-sized coats getting free swag?

Or is it because I’m here on my couch trying to fend off a cold and I’m just in a bad mood altogether?

That’s gotta be it.
