Help an Actor in need this holiday

Charleston Draper, who just turned, is an honors graduate from Morehouse College in Atlanta, where he majored in theater before moving to New York in January 2003 to chase a dream.

Life in New York, though, proved tougher than he expected. Acting jobs were scarce, and even though he landed a few temp jobs, he burned through the savings he had amassed in Atlanta. After the roommate with whom he had been living in White Plains left without notice, Mr. Draper found a tiny bedroom at the Y.M.C.A. that cost $700 a month. Six months later, he was told that his bed was needed by somebody else.
